Phoenix Asbestos Environmental Policy
Phoenix Asbestos Recovery limited has been established since January of 2002. We are an H.S.E. licensed asbestos removal company, which also provides our clients with consultancy services in the management of asbestos in work places.
Phoenix Asbestos Recovery realises its obligation to comply with all relevant environmental legislation and has regard for guidance notes made thereunder. The companies’ main environmental impacts include energy usage in the form of diesel fuels for our company vehicles, waste water and special waste produced through our off site activities, and general office waste produced.
In recognising these environmental impacts, Phoenix Asbestos Recovery Ltd through its commitment to pollution prevention & demonstrating continual environmental improvement will:
- Minimise, recover and recycle waste whenever possible;
- Minimise the amount of energy used through the use of environmentally friendly resources and through the use of technologically advanced energy saving products such as low energy consuming lighting, more diligent use of lighting and quarterly reviews of diesel consumption in the work vehicles as to ascertain the efficiency of the vehicles;
- Reduce the use of office paper by utilising electronic communications and double siding the print.
- To research the cost effectiveness and feasibility of using recycled products such as paper and print cartridges;
- To continually train and update staff in the environmental issues which effect us all.
This policy is subject to annual review and will be communicated regularly to all staff during “tool box” meetings and refresher training.
